The New Empress Public English Higher Primary School educational institution covered under Article 30 of the Constitution of India and established in 2014 is situated in Lingadhahalli, 20 Miles west to Pavagada Taluk, Tumkur Dist. The school is directly under the management of Nandhagopula Educational Trust. With its undulating landscapes and an astonishing pollution free environment our location is an upmost apt area for a school to be found. The school is a co-educational centre open to all irrespective of caste, creed or cult and devoid of any discrimination between he and she, or the ‘have’s and the ‘have not’s. The medium of instruction is English. It still continues having crossed many memorable milestones with splendid glimpses of success. The school has recorded a substantial growth in the strength of students in recent years. We have nearly 820 students from Play school to Secondary level. We have forty-five well experienced and qualified teachers and more than twenty five non-teaching staff who continuously strive for the betterment of this institution.

The faculty at New Empress is highly trained, experienced and efficient and is chosen from the top educational institutions in the country. A majority of the faculty resides on campus, which enables the students to seek them for consultation even after class hours. The total strength of each class does not exceed 25 to ensure that quality education is imparted to each student. A notable feature at New Empress is the teacher- student ratio, which is 1: 18 The regular classes begin at 9:30 AM and end at 4:10 PM. Special vacation classes Summer camps for lower primary students and Coaching classes are also being conducted by proficient personnel’s. Our school has given a major thrust to develop the infrastructural facilities too. Well equipped Science Labs, Computer Labs, Smart classrooms, Audio Visual Lab, Library, Hostel facilities for both boys and girls, 7 school buses, football, throw ball and basketball courts, spacious play grounds are some the major attractions of our school. Our school is really proud in the meritorious achievements and outstanding results of our students every year. To provide a meaningful and holistic education, co-curricular activities like dance, vocal music, instrumental music, public speaking, karate, yoga, drawing, origami and other socially useful and productive works are trained under the guidance of well qualified teachers. To train the students to face the defeat with a smile and maintain humility even in the victory we give much priority in Sports and Games in our school. Making the students aware of the true value of philanthropy and to inculcate the value of charitable works, our students are asked to contribute their share in different ways, home for the homeless, medicine and financial help for the sick, clothes for calamity affected people etc. We conduct almost all prominent scholarship examinations in our school. Kannada and Hindi are taught as the second and third languages.

The school community has a large number of indigenous families (Kannada) and English as second language families. The school is driven by its mission statement that is ‘learning with respect, pride and teamwork’ and promotes high achievement in a safe, disciplined and caring environment.  The school has an operational plan and attendance plan in place which reflects the priorities of addressing student attendance and student achievement levels. At The New Empress utmost care and guidance is given to academically weak students by arranging subject-wise remedial classes. After regular classes, special tuition periods are arranged to ensure that students are not burdened with excessive homework.
